At Super Star Sport, we are passionate about giving every child the very best start in life through sport. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to celebrate five years of the Early Years Sports Fund (EYSF), a project that has helped thousands of children build positive early experiences with physical activity.

Since launching, the fund has achieved some remarkable milestones:

• Over 1,500 funded classes delivered across nurseries, pre-schools, and early years settings.
• More than 1,125 hours of funded delivery packed with fun, energy, and active learning.
• 45,000+ children have taken part in funded sessions, smiling, moving, and learning through sport.
• 35+ local authorities covered, helping spread the benefits of early years sport far and wide.
  

These numbers are more than just statistics, they represent thousands of moments where children have been active, engaged, and encouraged to enjoy sport in a safe, positive environment. From developing balance and coordination to building confidence and teamwork, the EYSF has made a real difference.

Why the Early Years Matter

The early years are a crucial time in a child’s development. Habits formed at this stage often last a lifetime, and positive experiences with sport can inspire children to stay active as they grow. The Early Years Sports Fund ensures that children from all backgrounds can enjoy these opportunities, regardless of circumstance.

Looking Ahead: 2025/26 Applications Now Open

We’re not stopping here. As we celebrate the past five years, we’re also looking to the future. Applications for the 2025/26 Early Years Sports Fund are now open, giving more nurseries, pre-schools, and early years settings the chance to access funded sessions.
